Simple Vegan Date Caramel
Ingredients
- 200 g (1 cup) dates
- pinch salt
- 250 (1 cup) boiling water
Instructions
- Place the dates in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade attachment. Slowly trickle in the boiling water while blending. Add enough water to reach the desired consistency. Mix in salt. Use right away or store in an airtight jar for about a week.

That's scrumptious, well I have a query for that, I am facing Anemia (deficiency of iron) so is this recipe contains iron ??

Thanks Gaurav. Dates do have iron in them, but you would need to eat quite a few to have that iron be of any benefit to you. And when you start to consume dates in high quantity, you're adding a lot of natural sugars to your diet which may counteract the benefit of the dates themselves. Hope that helps.
