Ingredients

  • 6 whole grain or multi-seed flour tortillas
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional seasonings: chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, or cumin

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). T
  • Prepare Tortillas: Brush both sides of each tortilla lightly with olive oil. Stack them and cut into triangles. The size of your chips will depend on the size of your tortillas.
  • Season: Arrange the tortilla triangles on a baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle with sea salt. For a flavor twist, add any of the optional seasonings.
  • Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes. Halfway through baking, flip the chips over to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
  • Cool and Serve: Remove the chips from the oven, sprinkle with a little more sea salt and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  1. Tortilla Type: This recipe uses whole grain or multi-seed tortillas, but works equally well for corn tortillas.
  2. Uniformity is Key: Cutting the tortillas into uniform sizes ensures even baking.
  3. Watch the Oven: Oven temperatures can vary, so keep an eye on your chips to prevent burning. Storage: Store any leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain crispiness.
